Adam Wright has been named the new CEO of Share, a Seattle-area charity that provides food, shelter, and other services to the homeless.

Wright, who has been with the charity for 12 years, will be responsible for fundraising, special-appeal management, and community engagement, the Seattle Times reports.

"At Share, I look forward to doing my part in dismantling and combatting the many inequalities that so often lead to homelessness and poverty for far too many in our community and hope to create a more equitable world for people of all races, gender, sex, and status," Wright says in a press release.

Wright, who moved back to the Pacific Northwest from his hometown of Kansas City, Mo., where he was serving children in foster care and youth experiencing homelessness at Drumm Farm Center for Children, says he plans to "create a more equitable world for people of all races, gender, sex, and status."
