An Indiana nonprofit that teaches kids how to make art is now open in a brick-and-mortar location, the Times of Northwest Indiana reports.
"This was my mission, from the very beginning, to bring art to the young and the young-at-heart, alongside the YMCA's mission to service all through mind, body, and spirit," says the founder of Make Make.
The after-school and summer art programs are now open at the new Duneland Family YMCA Healthy Living Campus in Chesterton, which was formerly known as Chesterton Middle School.
"Make Make's mission has been to present artful experiences that feel welcoming and provide opportunities for participants to experience the joy of creating something that didn't exist before," says Make Make's founder.
"The move from mobile to brick-and-mortar is especially exciting because of the wealth of opportunities the partnerships at the Duneland Family YMCA Healthy Living Campus present to Make Make," she adds.
