President Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for bank fraud and money laundering, the AP reports.
Manafort was found guilty of wire and securities fraud, conspiracy to commit wire and securities fraud, and money laundering in connection with a money-laundering ring run out of Manafort's home in Alexandria, Va., according to court documents.
Prosecutors say the ring functioned as a money-laundering operation, and that Manafort paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in kickbacks to friends and relatives.
Manafort, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges, was a director in Trump's 2016 campaign.
